We are very proud to call Donncha O’ Callaghan one of our own. Donncha’s roots are firmly based in the parish. Donncha played all sports while here at school and he says that this had a huge influence on him in his development as a professsional rugby player. Donncha recently became an ambassador for Unicef which is a real testament to his character and committment to charity.

Ronan O Gara needs little introduction. Over the last 10 years he has proved himself to be one of the great all time rugby out halves. We are very proud of the fact that he spent his primary years with us. Both Ronan and Donncha embody what our school is about – pride, honesty, commitment and above all else, being the best that you can be.

Shane O’Neill was a hurling All Star nominee in 2009 and played on school teams here. Shane has returned to the school on many occasions and passed on some advice to the boys. We are very proud of Shane’s achievements and we wish him the very best in his hurling career. Shane follows in the footsteps of many of our past pupils who have had the privilige of playing with Cork teams.

Our school was fortunate to have two past pupils on the famous double winning team of 1990, Paul McGrath (Back Row, 2nd from the left) and Barry Coffey (Back Row, 2nd from the right). Paul and Barry represented the school in many matches in Sciath na Scol competitions under the guidance of former staff member Mr Don Lynch.

Ken O Halloran and Jamie O Sullivan are also past pupils of our school. They are currently on the Cork senior football team and we are also very proud of their achievements.
